Tony Kamel Record Release Party

Headliner:

  • Tony Kamel

Opener:

  • Supper Party

On his new studio album, We're All Gonna Live, Tony Kamel captures a no frills live-to-tape energy perfectly complimenting the weighty but optimistic subjects encompassed in his character based songs. As the frontman and main songwriter for acclaimed bluegrass band Wood & Wire, Kamel garnered praise throughout the music world for his unique approach to performing, writing, and recording leading to a GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Record in 2018.

For his debut solo record Back Down Home (2021), he teamed up with legendary songwriter Bruce Robison and his analog based production company, The Next Waltz. It held a #1 spot on the Alt. Country Radio chart, and was on the Americana Charts for several weeks. His shows, both solo and with a full band, showcase his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist and compelling story teller - engaging with the audience, playing guitar and clawhammer banjo for a performance beyond some dude simply singing his songs.

Whether it's a raucous festival crowd, a listening room, or a jam session with musician friends, he finds a way to sync up with the folks he's in the room with. Produced jointly by Kamel and Robison, We're All Gonna Live is Kamel's third record with Blue Corn Music and is due out April 18, 2025.

Ryan Hunter Live at Dan Electros

Headliner:

  • Ryan Hunter

HOUSTON, TX🔥🔥

Ready for a rockin' night of Texas country music? Don't miss your chance to see Ryan Hunter at Dan Electros on May 7th, 2025!

Whiskey Wednesdays sponsored by Milam & Greene and

Steak Night By Houston Prime

Ryan Hunter is a rising talent in the Texas music scene, blending country, southern rock, and ethereal sounds into a fresh, soulful style. Hailing from Fort Bend County, Texas, Ryan’s passion for music began early, inspired by the storytelling power of songs. It wasn't until his move to College Station in 2018 that he picked up the guitar and taught himself to play.

After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2022, Ryan moved to the Texas Hill Country with a clear goal: to grow as a musician and make his mark on the scene. At just 25 years old, he has already begun to carve out a space for himself as an independent artist, drawing from personal experiences to craft songs that resonate with listeners.

Since starting his music journey in March 2023, Ryan has quickly gained recognition for his live performances, opening for artists like Drake Milligan, Kody West, Low Gap, Shea Abshier and the Nighthowlers and Larissa Boyd. With his unique blend of energy, authenticity, and skill, Ryan is poised to make a lasting impact on the Texas music scene.

This is just the beginning for Ryan Hunter, a young artist with a bright future ahead.

Uncle Lucius Presented by Robbins Auto and HCK Clothing

Headliner:

  • Uncle Lucius

Uncle Lucius is a genre-blending band from South Austin, Texas, known for their soulful mix of Americana, folk, blues, and classic rock. Formed by five musicians with diverse backgrounds and a shared vision, the band delivers a powerful sound rooted in authenticity and storytelling. Frontman Kevin Galloway left his East Texas banking job in pursuit of a more meaningful life through music, eventually joining forces with guitarist Mike Carpenter, drummer Josh Greco, keyboardist Jonny "Keys" Grossman, and bassist Nigel Frye.

Their sound reflects the musical melting pot of Austin and New Orleans, with thoughtful lyrics that challenge the status quo and celebrate living in the moment. After nearly a decade of touring and earning recognition as the Texas Regional Radio Report’s 2014 Best New Band, Uncle Lucius continues to evolve. Their live album, Live @ Grady’s 66 Pub, is available as a free download, and they’re currently working on their next studio release with producer George Reiff.

Candlelighters Concert & Fundraiser

On August 5th, my life changed forever when my 12-year-old son, River James Brennan, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Throughout our journey, the nonprofit Candlelighters has been there every step of the way — providing meals, emotional support, parking assistance, and much more. Candlelighters is made up of parents who have been through the same fight, offering strength and comfort to families like ours.

On May 24th at Dan Electro’s, we’re coming together to give back. Join us for the first-ever Candlelighters and Cancer Fundraiser as we honor River, celebrate resilience, and support an organization that means so much to us. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help Candlelighters continue their incredible work.

There will be live music, games, food, and fun for all ages from 2–8 PM. Kids are welcome!
We’ll be collecting donations at the door — no amount is too small or too big.

Come be a part of something meaningful. Together, we can make a difference.

GENERATION:landslide  Presents Psych Garage Pop Extravaganza

Headliner:

  • GENERATION:landslide

GENERATION:landslide! Is a band whose voice is the representation of the Houston music scene, theseguys are what Houston music is about.

They put their hearts and souls into their work, with a certain degree of non-chalantness to its acceptance. Their music is real and has a certain element of truth about it that is missing from most of the mainstream music that’s out today. They are songwriters and artists, audiophiles in the truest sense of the word. They have a great passion for music and the common man, the last of a dying breed of true garage rock and psychedelia. The band consists of Tom Underwood on Guitar/vocals, Kathie Muncy-Underwood on bass/vocals, Sellers Thomas on guitar/vocals, John Glenn on Keyboard/vocals and Charles Zittle on drums.  The band as a whole contributes to the making of their new music, although the talents of Tom Underwood are behind most of the lyrics, his writing could be considered somewhere in the neighborhood of Warren Zevon, LouReed or Tom Petty.

Mike Hellman and the Banned Books + Sherita Perez

Mike Hellman and the Banned Books + Sherita Perez

Headliner:

Mike Hellman is a country and Americana troubadour with a bent for the unconventional. Slinging songs with substance, conviction and grit, he’s on a mission to tell his truth and he insists on being heard. While firmly rooted in the rich country and blues traditions of his home state of Texas, he refuses to pander to cliché and his sound is anything but predictable. His lively performances swing from ballad to barn burner to outright rock ‘n’ roll, and his rich baritone conjures earnestness and humor while dealing head-on with all aspects of the human condition (and with a not-so-subtle nod to the downtrodden). An “outlaw” for outlaws, Mike's music transcends the often narrow boundaries set by the mainstream country music establishment.

No stranger to the stage, Mike has performed at large venues, honky-tonks and intimate listening rooms across the US, building a dedicated following along the way. He has turned heads at Americanafest and has shared the stage with prominent americana artists such as Jason Eady, Gabe Lee, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs, and countless others.

His 2024 full length release "Trials and Triumphs" has enjoyed enthusiastic reception and features a who’s who of talent: guitarist James Deprato (Chuck Prophet), pedal steel player Ian Taylor Sutton (Vincent Neil Emerson), multi-instrumentalist Chuck Bradley (Hellbound Glory) and mastering by Michael Rosen (Santana, Green Day, etc). Mike is touring widely to support the release, and plans are underway for a sophomore album in late 2025.

Construction worker by day and troubadour by night, Mike somehow still makes time for his many other passions including the outdoors, heavy metal and union organizing. He splits his time between Houston, TX and Santa Cruz, CA.

Special Guest:

Sherita Perez is a unique singer-songwriter and entertainer who creates memorable songs with a heart-felt sound that draws listeners into the moment. Her voice has a warm, inviting sound that echoes the classic roots styles.

Sherita recently preformed at SXSW Official, Austin City Limits live Radio Broadcast at The Towns Van Zandt Hotel in Austin, TX.  Sherita opened for Joan Osborne and James McMurtry. Sherita has supported shows for Ani DeFranco, The String Cheese Incident, and Taj Mahal. Recently, Sherita was a performer at the 25th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival and The Hog Farm Hideaway 2022 at The Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA, as well as played at The Golden Gate Band Shell in San Francisco, CA.
Sherita has been featured on BMI's Singer-Songwriter Series at The Saxon Pub and the Texas Music Office's Texas Music Mixtape KOOP Radio- Original Music Hour alongside Willie Nelson, Nora Jones & Shiny Ribs. Sherita received a scholarship SWRFA 2022, and her song, “Pack it In/Pack It Out” will be featured as one of The National Parks Service PSA this year.

The Broken Spokes & Oliver Penn

The Broken Spokes & Oliver Penn

Congratulations, you have just stumbled upon your next favorite country band.  The Broken Spokes are a beloved Texas traditional country outfit with a name synonymous with country due to the famous Austin honky tonk. Having focused on live shows, as opposed to aspiring for some sort of national attention, The Broken Spokes might just be the best band you’ve never heard of. They’re looking to change that with their new album Where I Went Wrong and the country music world, in Texas and beyond, is taking notice.

There’s magic in how they embrace the true roots of country music, interpreting them in the modern context with such love and passion that makes the music feel more palpable and alive than with most other country bands.  You can tell right away this is a well-seasoned outfit that’s put in the time honing their craft in honky tonks across Texas, perfectly illustrating the beauty of the music to the audience in a way that feels vital. The Broken Spokes are the textbook definition of what country music is in its purest form.

“This album is so damn good. If you needed to select a country music album to shoot into outer space to represent country music to other civilizations, Where I Went Wrong would not be a bad candidate. It’s that virtuous, that country, and truly flawless in its execution. Everything here is *chef kiss* excellent cover to cover.  If you need an audio representation of the textbook definition of what country music actually is in its purest form, Where I Went Wrong would totally work.  It’s a classic and traditional country album, but so dripping with present-day appeal from the passion brought to the music and the sincerity with which it’s delivered, it doesn’t feel dated at all. This album is beaming with enjoyment.”  Saving Country Music (Two Guns Up 9/10) (FULL REVIEW)

“There have been a number of releases this year that undoubtedly are worthy of the ‘hard-core country’ label accreditation. Houston’s The Broken Spokes are one such band and this album, WHERE I WENT WRONG, is testament to that. The album is a mix of classic honky tonk songs and tailored originals that recall BR5-49 or Red Meat at their best. Perhaps The Broken Spokes should consider the subtitle of the next album to be “Where We Went Right”, because this album is an affirmation of doing everything right.”   LonesomeHighway.com (FULL REVIEW)

“While there might have been a plethora of bands of this ilk 20 years ago, they would’ve found it hard to better this outfit. The Broken Spokes have the chops, knowledge, and the original tunes, but if anything, it’s the constant presence of the fiddle and steel in their makeup that ensures their honky tonk rises above.  Love’ em.”   Country Music People Magazine (5/5 Stars)

“There’s something transcendent about front man Brent McLennan’s clear tenor twang and off-handedly detailed songwriting approach riding atop the timeless honky-tonk chops of his bandmates.  It’s a bit like if Bruce Robison borrowed Wayne “The Train” Hancock’s band to rub some pilsner-soaked sawdust on his studied song craft”  Lone Star Music Magazine

Best Band For Drinking: The Broken Spokes are one of Houston’s busier country acts and the shows they play routinely have something in common – booze.  Whether they’re playing a honky tonk like Whiskey River, big festivals like the ZiegenBock Music Fest, or a dancehall like the one in Gruene, there is going to be some drinking involved. The Spokes gamely match the action in these establishments with the perfect soundtrack for beer guzzlin’ and whiskey shootin’.  These guys are all very gifted players who’ve previously pieced together a Houston Press – Album of the Year nominee and regularly draw kudos from fellow Houston music folks, like Nick Gaitan and Vinyl Ranch. They can call up a vibe to fit the mood and if the mood calls for a drink or two, they’re the band for the job.”  The Houston Press (ARTICLE)

Ellis Bullard + Christopher Seymore

Headliner:

In the wake of 2024’s Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution, Ellis Bullard has left no doubt that country music is still yearning for the true-blue honky-tonk experience he brings to the stage and studio. Listen to Bullard, and you’re listening to a life of barnstorming, hard living, and layers of musical influences. “I’m just a person, just a guy out there having a good time and trying to make sure other people are too,” Bullard says. “I give my time to people, and I think that means a lot to them. I’m genuinely trying to forge relationships and have meaningful interactions with all the fans I meet on the road.” After sharing the stage with Texas mainstays like Shinyribs, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers and Cody Jinks, Bullard has come into his own, and these days finds himself headlining clubs and dance halls from coast to coast. For his part, Bullard knowshe’s on to something, and he’s enjoying the ride.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers

Frankie and the Witch Fingers

Headliner:

Los Angeles psych-punk shapeshifters Frankie and the Witch Fingers have spent the last decade mutating their sound into bold, electrifying new forms. Their latest release, Trash Classic (via Greenway Records and The Reverberation Appreciation Society), plunges into a sewer-slick fusion of proto-punk venom, fractured new wave, and industrial grime. Brimming with wiry synths, angular melodies, and grooves that squirm and bite, it's all delivered with a sly, playful wink. Fueled by relentless global touring and a fierce DIY ethos, the band has shared stages with OFF!, Ty Segall, Oh Sees, Cheap Trick, and ZZ Top, cementing their place as one of the most unforgettable live acts around. Frankie and the Witch Fingers continue to morph, dragging listeners into whatever warped direction their experimental journey takes next.

It’s go time! We’re throwing a big ol’ party to celebrate the release of my very first single with The Boys, and you’re not gonna wanna miss it. Think cold Lonestars, loud tunes, and that gritty dive bar magic we all love.

We’ve got live music, local vendors, and enough good vibes to last ‘til last call. As Shaun wisely put it:
"Show up, Drink Beer, Party, Listen to Music."
That’s the mission.

So come hang, raise a Lonestar, and help us kick off this new chapter the right way—loud and rowdy.

🎸 Live Music • 🍻 Cheap Beer • 🛍️ Local Vendors • 🤘 Good Times
