GENERATION:landslide!Is a band whose voice is the representation of the Houston music scene, theseguys are what Houston music is about.

They put their hearts and souls into their work, with a certain degree of non-chalantness to its acceptance. Their music is real and has a certain element of truth about it that is missing from most of the mainstream music that’s out today. They are songwriters and artists, audiophiles in the truest sense of the word. They have a great passion for music and the common man, the last of a dying breed of true garage rock and psychedelia. The band consists of Tom Underwood on Guitar/vocals, Kathie Muncy-Underwood on bass/vocals, Sellers Thomas on guitar/vocals, John Glenn on Keyboard/vocals and Charles Zittle on drums.  The band as a whole contributes to the making of their new music, although the talents of Tom Underwood are behind most of the lyrics, his writing could be considered somewhere in the neighborhood of Warren Zevon, LouReed or Tom Petty.

Mike Hellman is a country and Americana troubadour with a bent for the unconventional. Slinging songs with substance, conviction and grit, he’s on a mission to tell his truth and he insists on being heard. While firmly rooted in the rich country and blues traditions of his home state of Texas, he refuses to pander to cliché and his sound is anything but predictable. His lively performances swing from ballad to barn burner to outright rock ‘n’ roll, and his rich baritone conjures earnestness and humor while dealing head-on with all aspects of the human condition (and with a not-so-subtle nod to the downtrodden). An “outlaw” for outlaws, Mike's music transcends the often narrow boundaries set by the mainstream country music establishment.

No stranger to the stage, Mike has performed at large venues, honky-tonks and intimate listening rooms across the US, building a dedicated following along the way. He has turned heads at Americanafest and has shared the stage with prominent americana artists such as Jason Eady, Gabe Lee, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs, and countless others. 

His 2024 full length release "Trials and Triumphs" has enjoyed enthusiastic reception and features a who’s who of talent: guitarist James Deprato (Chuck Prophet), pedal steel player Ian Taylor Sutton (Vincent Neil Emerson), multi-instrumentalist Chuck Bradley (Hellbound Glory) and mastering by Michael Rosen (Santana, Green Day, etc). Mike is touring widely to support the release, and plans are underway for a sophomore album in late 2025.

Construction worker by day and troubadour by night, Mike somehow still makes time for his many other passions including the outdoors, heavy metal and union organizing. He splits his time between Houston, TX and Santa Cruz, CA.

Sherita Perez is a unique singer-songwriter and entertainer who creates memorable songs with a heart-felt sound that draws listeners into the moment. Her voice has a warm, inviting sound that echoes the classic roots styles. 

Sherita recently preformed at SXSW Official, Austin City Limits live Radio Broadcast at The Towns Van Zandt Hotel in Austin, TX.  Sherita opened for Joan Osborne and James McMurtry. Sherita has supported shows for Ani DeFranco, The String Cheese Incident, and Taj Mahal. Recently, Sherita was a performer at the 25th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival and The Hog Farm Hideaway 2022 at The Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA, as well as played at The Golden Gate Band Shell in San Francisco, CA.
Sherita has been featured on BMI's Singer-Songwriter Series at The Saxon Pub and the Texas Music Office's Texas Music Mixtape KOOP Radio- Original Music Hour alongside Willie Nelson, Nora Jones & Shiny Ribs. Sherita received a scholarship SWRFA 2022, and her song, “Pack it In/Pack It Out” will be featured as one of The National Parks Service PSA this year.

There’s magic in how they embrace the true roots of country music, interpreting them in the modern context with such love and passion that makes the music feel more palpable and alive than with most other country bands.  You can tell right away this is a well-seasoned outfit that’s put in the time honing their craft in honky tonks across Texas, perfectly illustrating the beauty of the music to the audience in a way that feels vital. The Broken Spokes are the textbook definition of what country music is in its purest form.

In the wake of 2024’s Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution, Ellis Bullard has left no doubt that country music is still yearning for the true-blue honky-tonk experience he brings to the stage and studio. Listen to Bullard, and you’re listening to a life of barnstorming, hard living, and layers of musical influences. “I’m just a person, just a guy out there having a good time and trying to make sure other people are too,” Bullard says. “I give my time to people, and I think that means a lot to them. I’m genuinely trying to forge relationships and have meaningful interactions with all the fans I meet on the road.” After sharing the stage with Texas mainstays like Shinyribs, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers and Cody Jinks, Bullard has come into his own, and these days finds himself headlining clubs and dance halls from coast to coast. For his part, Bullard knowshe’s on to something, and he’s enjoying the ride.

Lee Bains III, member of the famed outfit "Lee Bains & The Glory Fires", along with local support from Grifters & Shills and Brightwire, is coming to Dan Electro's on a solo tour. As part of "Lee Bains & The Glory Fires", the road-worn Birmingham, Alabama band has built a reputation as being what NPR calls “punks revved up by the hot-damn hallelujah of Southern rock” who carry on “the Friday-night custom of burning down the house,” a raw live sound that they captured with Texas punk producer Tim Kerr on studio albums Dereconstructed (2014) and Youth Detention (2017) before recording a full-on live album at their favorite hometown dive, Live at the Nick (2019).

From Southern grit to alt-edge, classic country to hard rock, their sound defies easy classification. It's rich, raw, and rooted in something deeper than genre. This is music you can’t quite label — and that’s the point. Inspired by legends like Skynyrd and Waylon, with a nod to modern acts like Blackberry Smoke and The Steel Woods, their songs are raw, road-tested, and built to be felt.
Known for high-octane live shows and a growing regional fanbase, The Filthy Heathens are hitting stages across the country with a packed tour schedule and festival season. One gig at a time, they’re building something real — and it’s catching on. Live, The Filthy Heathens go full-throttle — and so do their crowds. They love to put on a show and bring a room to life. Every performance is a shot of energy designed to pull you away from your phone — and everything else going on in the world.
